We also provide mindfulness sessions promoting a greater understanding of mental wellbeing. Mindfulness helps students learn how to achieve a healthy mind, how to approach a variety of situations positively and calmly. Students can spend half a day learning about the history of the RNLI, sea and beach safety, how a lifeboat rescue works and see what its like for crew members who volunteer. In recent years a lot of effort has gone into raising a huge amount of awareness about plastic pollution on the coast. We believe that it is important for the students to recognise and understand the effects of plastic pollution.
